Flight details: | Up at the crack of dawn to meet all the other XC pilots except Tefal (where wuz 'e?) sitting hopefully on Mount C. Off they went, an I didn't, until I cursed the great thermal Go nt eh sky, whereupon he let m,e fly over the back for the 11th time this month. The thermal I got away in never went over 1200 above, and it was very hard work. Tim Cox? went with me, but slowly lost ot over Glydebourne, while I hung on in over a fire (I swear that it was the same fire as last time - certainly th same place). I lost this eventually, and glided to the Ringmer gliding club, who promptly aborted a launch. Ooh er, was that me? The low save right on the southern edge of te gliding air strip was a good'un, but too wind-blown to hang into, and so it all ended a short while later at the end of the Broyle. While walking back, trying to get a signal on the phone, John B drove past. looking for Jonny Fox, so I got a retrieve too. Arrived back at Caburn to see Richard CN gale-hanging, and then getting blown over the back once more... |
