| Flight details: | Joined the southern slackers for some Welsh flying.
We all went to Merthyr but it looked blown out. I wind dummied then few followed to the lifty skies. After a little break to let some rain cloud through, went back up and was rewarded with lift everywhere.
Followed a local pilot to cloud base and was finally able to make my dream of cloud flying come true! Was surfing the cloud at its edge and ended up at 5000feet way above cloud base. Amazing experience! !!
I kept close to those lifty heavens and drifted with it. Finally my gps warned me of airspace and with panic I realized I had airspace to the south and big rainy cloud to the north!!
I managed to slip through towards the east (hopefully without clipping airspace:/ )
Tried to head North East towards a rainy cloud but when I got there it was all dying and sink everywhere.
Landed in a big field that ended up being someones garden.
The nice lady offered me a lift to local bus stop after I told her everything about thermals and clouds.
Best day ever!!!
