Flight details: | Same as last time, but moreish. Take off, get a 1 up, and off we go, with 2 other gliders. Very difficult to centre on very weak thermals. At 1200 ATO, the thermal dies off, and I drift in a zero forever. It takes a whole 22 minutes to just reach the A23. The lift slightly impreoves, and I eventually get to 1800 ATO over ASDA. Thes a glide over to the university campus has bme rouyghed up, going up like a rocaket, adn then down like a grand piano. After that, a glide along he A27, to a field overlooking Housedean Farm camping site. There is a bus stop right by the site, and a 28 and 77 take me back to the Dyke, where shortness of XC, annoying enough, is made worse by seeing Luke Nichol and Carl Wallbank land their hangies, having flown from Froucester. |
