| Flight details: | Big bun-fight at the Dyke Corral - dodging everyone else doing random circles, until finally, a thermal that everyone was turning in, roughly in the same circle. Got to 1200 ATO, in the 1 or 2 up thermal, and left the Dyke. B&*(^r this, I'm going to go XC, to break this year's duck, even if it's only to ASDA. Several others were in the same position, but decided that the Dyke was too attractive a place to leave, and left only me and Mark Rubenstein still going. Then it was a case of finding the slightest of thermals, and hanging on in, watching great clouds overhead, but so fara away. The best thermal I got after the first one was a zero, slowly drifting away from takeoff. Then the sink monster got me ,and I glided to ASDA, to get roughed up. Landed to the North, walked to ASDA, bought a sandwich, took the 24 and 77 buses back to Dyke. Epic!
