A beautiful morning with more of the club present by 9am than I have ever seen before. Of course this guaranteed that as soon as the thermals started to come through it was very busy in the air.
On my third flight I got established in a decent thermal. Although I did not get particularly high I resisted pushing forward and risk joining the melee so instead followed Chairman Massie over the back. He found a weak climb that I couldn't connect to and although I found a few broken areas of lift it wasn't long before I connected with the ground. I had not even made it as far as Asda.
Still it was nice to consciously uncouple from the take off. |
