Amazing day!
First spent a few hours hanging about in the sky with few other good pilots ;))

Then the wind went really north and everyone stopped flying. After a little break I decided to check the quality and took off bang in a thermal, after a few attempts I managed to stay in a very good thermal and got to 3000 feet. Decided to glide towards ditchling where the sky looked good. I got very low close to the big road but manage to get up in a very tight strong thermal, soooo lucky!!!
I was drifting towards Brighton and considered landing by my flat! But then I saw a massive swarm of crows drawing a big thermal for me.
That took me back to cloud base and from there I just enjoyed the view and shouted at people down there.
I tried to glide towards Firle but got very low and landed behind saltdean while trying to stay in small thermal.

What an amazing adventure! Totally unexpected!

My mistake i think was not staying close to the clouds when I was real high, should have followed the coast a bit more as there was no sign of seabreeze, also I glided towards some seagulls who were ridge soaring but then there was nothing above them, I should have avoided them as they were obviously pointing out the lack of thermal :)

I landed in a park close to a few people with their dogs who completely ignored me. It was very odd and kind of an anti climax to an amazing flight! ...Nevermind ;)
Next time I try to fly back to the dyke ;))
