| Flight details: | Waited with 3 other pilots until mid morning by which time gusts had dropped to a reasonable level. Within minutes of launch was several hundred feet over take off. Flew towards Jack and Jill windmills but lost a lot of height just before them. Turned back to head for the landing field, got a thermal on the final approach at around tree top height, climbed back to base and headed down to Lewes. At the beacon headed back but ended up on the deck about 3 miles from the car park so had to practice my hiking for the SFoF! Amazing amounts of lift everywhere... |
