Flight details:
Lots of pushing out front for tight thermals, followed by one that seemed more dependable than the others. I was not expecting more than 2000 feet based on RASP, and that was more or less the top of the blue thermals to the east. Found a second bitty climb south of Ringmer, then a much stronger one just to the east of the gliding field, trying to drift away from their area as fast as possible. The windsock should have given me a clue about the increasing surface wind, but when I ran out of rising air by the Cross in Hand masts I manged to misjudge the wind strength and landed in someone's garden instead of the rugby pitch. He was very nice about it and his wife brought me some lemon barley water while I packed up. Two free bus rides back to Lewes (bus pass is on the checklist)and a walk to the car park. Gale hanging did not look inviting, so went shopping instead.
