Title: Two low saves but no pass
Site:Bulgaria
Pilot:Mark Rubinstein
Date of flight:28th May 2014
Wing type:Paraglider
Flight details:
If I thought yesterday's save was low then I was in for a surprise today.

The task today was to head west and to get over the pass into the next valley and head towards Sofia.

However after the first few spurs I was down and almost out whilst the rest of the party were high and playing with cloudbase. I kept trying to find a climb off nice brown patches on spurs facing into sun but without any consistent results and so headed towards the valley floor to land out. My last chance (I thought was) as disused factory with tin roofs shining in the sun but I only managed to find a few weak bits so headed towards the road to land for an easy retrieve. However a low save over the fields gave me a 2,500' climb over the flat lands and back into the game, flying through some light rain I desperately tried to get into the sunshine and was eventually awarded with a very rough climb over trees low behind my next planned landing place.

Still over the flats I didn't have enough height to see me through the pass or even as far as others had flown but a great day and lots of happy pilots
