| Flight details: | An Incredible fight from the dyke, only about 6 km away from my declared turnpoint before turning around and coming back, but was very pleased to cross the steyning gap for the second time and see loads more sites that you hear everyone talk about but ive never seen (parham, goodwood, harting,arundul, amberly) finally feels like all the "learning" is paying off, it was awesome to fly most of the way with Cookie, Taka, and Paul Harvey. Awesome to see Chris do his first big XC and Ian Skying out over the coast too. Cant wait to hear more about there flights. I ended up landing with Paul Harvey (again) in a bit of a blue gap, we were pushing hard (gliding around 50mph) as we thought we always had the ridge to drop onto, but turned out there was no ridge lift when we needed it.
SPECIAL THANKS TO DAMIEN MASTERSON - the legend who came all the way out to retrive me, bought a cold beer to the landing field and then drove back at about 20mph to look after my glider - you're awesome!!! |
