Title: Second awesome xc day in a row! (Firle)
Site:Firle
Pilot:Luke Nichol
Date of flight:11th April 2014
Wing type:Rigid wing
Flight details:
After a very enjoyable Xc yesterday with Paul Harvey we planned to meet at Firle 9am today. Lots of pgs showing it was soarable with some nice climbs early on but not going very high. Then cumulus started popping out front in the 10ish mph wind and climbs were a little broken but good high up. Once high the rest was easy- flew all over with Paul on Radio, shared a couple of great climbs with pgs including a red one in front of firle and a blue one above caburn. The best bit of the day was circling within 50ft of 3 sailplanes north of caburn, one of which was Will Greenwood but they were all waving and taking pictures with me screaming out of enjoyment. An EPIC flight. overdevoloped early afternoon but still embedded cumulus and good enough climbs to stay between 3000 and base (4500ft)

P.S - Check out the worlds longest weakest thermal, about 1/4 up from the A27 in front of bo-peep back to bo-peep, it was so smooth i had a powernap! Felt like a 40 minute climb!!!
