Flight details: | What a nice day at the Dyke. For a long time Tefal cruised around alone while the rest of us worshipped - or cursed - him from below. But then it got good again, and I unpicked my lines from a wee bush just in time to enjoy it. I've never seen so many paragliders push so far forward from the Dyke. Eventually I succumbed to the temptation to make a downwind-ish dash. I reached the start of the Ditchling ridge and briefly maintained height above the hilltop, but was suckered by a pair of buzzards circling in a zero. One accompanied me downwards, laughing all the way.
They say you should never change more than one thing about your flying at a time, but today I used for the first time:
- My new glider, a Mentor 3 Light.
- New Crispi boots
- A new Ozone Saucisse Light concertina bag
- A Syride Sys'GPS, which Flybubble has kindly lent me to try out
- A Syride Sys'One mini vario (ditto).
Still, I didn't think the last four would make too much difference to my flying, while the first was a delight from the moment my feet left the ground.
A question for our website experts -- my flight has been scored as a straight line, rather than a turnpoint flight -- is this because I didn't download it with GPS Dump, but through the Syride website? It doesn't matter with this little one, but it would be nice to know for the future. |
