| Flight details: | When we arrived at the top of Caburn there was nobody and no wind. Pete arrived soon after and within 20 minutes the wind was getting really strong. We flew around a bit, getting nice heights and pushing forward. Then Crispin left the hill. Soon after I got a fabulous climb and there was lots of lift. The clouds started to form inland and all was looking so promising. However, just after Laughton it all went wrong. I didn't have enough height to cross the woods and took the drastic (bad) decision to go round them to the south, which got me on the ground quite quickly. Then Hairy Dave turned up and drove me back to the pub where Crispin bought us all a lovely lunch. |
