| Flight details: | Really hard start to the flight, was pretty much blue for the first 40km and weak broken thermals. i got low lots and got lucky lots too. Then got easier near petersfield but the sea breeze had already cut in and was near henfield by the time i was at the dyke. too many flight highlights to mention. thousands of kites. A sparrow hawk catching its prey 100ft beneath me in a thermal!?!?!?!?! a head on with a chinook, busting popham airspace only to later find out its not an Atz (but i was still naughty for not realising i was near it!). Great day out - want to do it again when conditions are easier and i can make Margate. |
