| Flight details: | Don't get too excited, I wasn't anywhere London airspace but the weather on Saturday at the Dyke was exciting. At about 3,000 drifting back from the Dyke and looking NE I saw a large cluster of towering buildings in the far distance that I had never seen before. After a while I realised that the astonishing visibility of the day, that had already given a crystal-clear view of the Isle of Wight, also gave a far distant view of London - amazing. But then my attention was turned to the cloud above that was now greyer than my socks and so the signal to run for cover. A downwind escape into the blue hole route to ASDA ended in the predictable landing by the Ditching road. Fortunately Vincent had his phone working and kindly picked me up, and loaf a bread was an extra. Merci boulanger! |
