| Flight details: | What a lovely feeling to climb out together with friends and then leaving the hill. I got right into the wispies with Greg and Mark, whilst Crispin was directly below me. We decided to go! And then I was so indecisive as what line to take. I first pushed north towards Mark who was heading for good looking clouds. Then I looked to see where Crispin was, changed my mind and flew more southerly in his direction, where I spotted another good line of clouds along the coast. As soon as I changed direction, so did Crispin and he flew more north. It was driving me crazy. Then I decided that I didn't want to drift towards Newhaven and the amazing line of clouds, as the wind was due to pick up. All this initial zigzagging didn't do my mind and flight much good. But I had a lovely flight and landed at exactly the same field where I had found myself two weeks earlier at Woodingdean. Jack (in Mark's car) came to pick me up, having retrieved Pete and Crispin on the way.
Back at Bopeep, Crispin decided to drive the car back home and I wanted to fly back. The wind had increased quite considerably. I had another lovely flight with Pete joining me. We landed at The Lay, 7.7km from Bopeep, where tea was waiting for us. |
