| Flight details: | I have never seen so many pilots at Devil's Dyke as today. It was hard work climbing out. Carlo, Nancy and Pete were high and well out in front of the hill. I was climbing nicely and decided not to go on a glide to join them. Instead I left the hill, number one I think to leave.
And althoug Alison was nearby, she didn't join me on the journey.
There was so much cloud cover and I probably should have waited a bit longer for a clearer sky to arrive. The wind had a lot of North in it, which meant I could easily drift towards the sea. I tried to stay close to the A27 and not to drift too much south. It surprised me that there were lifty bits at all with all that top cover. I got low near Kingston and managed to land in the only field which didn't have horses. Much appreciated by the owners, who were watching me like hawks, I am sure. Crispin then came and picked me up. |
