| Flight details: | Having originally written off the weekend on friday as being blown out I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a possibility of flying on Sunday afternoon. While it was definitely top end once you got infront of the hill it was OK. There were areas of very good lift and areas of major sink. And once up there was a strong headwind that made making much forward progress difficult. It was a mixture of pushing forward when there was lift, trying to avoid getting completely drilled when you fell out of it and keeping away from low over the hill so you didin't get pinned. Other than that the conditions kept the number of pilots in the air to a minimum and we had good fun. |
