| Flight details: | From earlier in the week I had been planning to work at home today, keeping an eye on the forecast and the small possibility of flying Newhaven. This morning three of us - me, Luke and James - took a couple of hours to decide we didn't fancy working and we headed down to Newhaven, expecting the wind to be at least top end if not blown out until late in the day when the tide would be up, and the wind more south to SSE.
Luke and I arrived around 12:30 to find it nowhere near top end and still distinctly SSW so we quickly rigged, took off and flew down to Brighton and back while the tide was still out. Meanwhile, James arrived, rigged and joined us and we all flew down to Brighton and back again. Not epic but it's a great feeling when you commit on the basis of a marginal forecast and end up having a really good time. |
