| Flight details: | Spent half an hour looking for a climb out the front of the ridge,eventually found a good thermal that took me straight to cloudbase over 4900ft lost the lift by sticking to close to the ridge eventually landed next to a Farm and Longtownn Castle.Had a scary walk through a Farm with barking dogs then offered a nice refreshing glass of squash from an elderly lady in Longtown. After walking for an hour hitched a lift fro Mike in his rather swanky Porche Turbo. (which my glider would not fit into properly) all the way back to the Bluff.Great Fun was had by all. |
