With more thunder forecast to the East, the logical thing to do was go.....West. Conditions good, the only barrier to the expansive flatlands leading to Sofia being the pass some 30km or so away. Some great flying surfing round the clouds above the mountain spine, but then the pass seemed to act like an SHGC pilot magnet and the Southern crew all decked just before the summit.
