Busy on the hill but got a good climb with Dave Massie at 12.30 and decided to go with it and see what happened. Got 2.5ms on the averager low down but it became much weaker. eventually got to 3k over the north of Brighton where there was a sea breeze deffinately comming in so headed NE before finding another climb over the Uni. Got back to almost 2500ft where I think I stumbled into the SBF (do they happen on Blue days?). Ran eastwards getting a sound thrashing and slowly loosing height but didn't get a good climb and landed by the A27 at Lewes where smoke was still drifing Southwards. Easy retrieve right back to the Devils Dyke pub.

Yes, they do, but it's much harder to follow as it's not visible without convergence cloud. I do it by imagining where the cold sea air is flooding inland over the low lying areas and then I fly following a course above the contours of the junction between higher ground and the imagined cold layer. " It's got to be rough to be good!"
