Red Ribbon Club competition - Reserve Day
Submitted by Bernard T on 25 May, 2008 - 09:56.Open RRC Competition 2008: This will be bigger and earlier in the year this time. Again, although an informal and fun affair, it will include challenges and tasks for pilots of all levels of ability, with worthwhile prizes. Sunday 31st August is the day you need to put in your diary, with September 6th & 7th as reserve dates if the weather is naff.
Fly safely - Bernard.

BCC Round - South East Wales
Submitted by MarkR on 12 May, 2008 - 22:54.There is a new round proposed for this coming
weekend - 17^th and 18^th May in South East Wales. So let's get a team
together and see if we can get the Southern Slackers (not yet our
official name) up on the score board.
For those that don't know the BCC - British Club Challenge is a very
friendly competition that is open to everyone from Club Pilot up. All
scoring is for the team (rather than the individual) with handicapping
so the same flight will earn more for someone who is Club Pilot rated
than for someone who is Pilot or Advanced Pilot rated. It is a much less

BCC Round - SE Wales
Submitted by davem on 9 May, 2008 - 21:59.Given that Cumbria is quite a drive away an alternative is fly a round
in South East Wales this weekend - Meet in Abergavenny on Saturday
morning (or on Sunday morning if you can only do one day).
Let me know if there is interest in this one - it might make sense for
us to shift the Southern Club team to SE wales.

BCC round Cumbria
Submitted by MarkR on 19 April, 2008 - 15:00.BCC Round Lakes/Dales 10th and 11th May
The Cumbria Club have proposed a round of the BCC (British Club Challenge) in the Lakes or Dales area. The precise location will be determined closer to the time. This is a friendly club level competition open to all. More details can be found at www.flybcc.co.uk. It would be good to get a Southern Club team together for this event, no previous experience required. If you are interested please email Mark Rubinstein at shgc [at] mrluk [dot] com

BCC Round
Submitted by admin on 9 March, 2008 - 18:24.There still seems to be something wrong with the email notification of a
round being proposed but a chance check of the website showed that a round
has been proposed for the four-day Easter weekend and so I have signed up
the Southern Club to participate.
The round details are
21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th March
Proposed by South East Wales Club
Based in Crickhowell
The usual rules (www.flybcc.co.uk) state team sizes of six but we can
certainly do with some reserves and what we discovered last year at
Crickhowell is that we can turn up with more and pick a team on a day. In
