This January and February, Dave, Chris and the merry Skylark band will be based in India's dramatic Western Ghats for our unique Flexible Flying Safari. We have both been having flying fun in this area for years and have great experience of the sites, routes and restaurants.

Clients are welcome to come and join us for a week or a month any time we're there.

For low-airtimers we can go to Kamshet and stay by the lake, where we find easy sites to settle in and get thermalling on more mellow XCs. For medium to advanced pilots we are based in Panchgani Hill Station in a super colonial-era hotel. There we find epic XC conditions sandwiched between smooth dawn soaring and evening restitution. We provide he best guidance and coaching possible, using tandem flying, radios, in-air guiding, etc.

With great local knowledge and quality cars with dedicated drivers, you can be sure to make the most of it.

For the very few non-flying days, world class tropical beaches are a day trip away, the Maharaja's palace just down the road.... the list is vast and fascinating.

As a destination India is a great place to fly, apart from the great flying conditions we brits find it strangely familiar - they speak English, drive on the correct side of the road, drink tea in the afternoon and are generally the most polite and helpful people you'll find anywhere. Couple that with about the best public transport system in the world and you've got all the ingredients for a fantastic flying adventure.

We fly into Bombay for about £3-400 odd rtn. Cost of the trip is expected to be about £1300 for 2 weeks all included. For longer duration stays please call to discuss.

Trip 1 still available. Trip 2 nearly full. Join us?

Trip 1 is leaving on Jan 6th for around 2 weeks, beginning on the easy sites and moving onto the XC launchpad after a week or so.
Trip 2 starts on Jan 23rd for 3 weeks and again we begin on the easy sites and move after we've all warmed up. At some point in trip 2 we'll take a few days out and go exploring new sites in the direction of the beach.

Any more interested pilots please get in touch soon - flight prices are beginning to rise.

All the best, Dave

The plan is coming together

It's looking like we'll have a lowish airtimer's group mid to end Jan 2012, getting nicely warmed up for the first UK XC days at the end of Feb. Anyone like to join us?
