This is going to be a very special Flybubble Paragliding XC SECRETS trip!
General Information
This will be a very special thermalling and XC-flying course with the Flybubble Team, this time working with world class paragliding competition pilot and instructor, Kari Eisenhut. The flying location is the Berner Oberland in the Swiss Alps and our base will be in Interlaken, Switzerland.
Aimed at all intermediate paraglider pilots and above wanting to hone their thermalling and cross country flying skills. Expand your XC horizons!
You have a dream...
You dream of cross country flights and big adventures. You would like to better understand thermalling techniques and the wind systems, but you are not sure how they work exactly. You have enough flying experience to know that it would be better to try them with some expert advice and guidance. This course offers you the perfect environment to learn more about thermal flying in the Alps in security.
The Flying
The flying location is the Berner Oberland in the Swiss Alps and our base will be in Interlaken, Switzerland. I don't think we need to say more (see pics)! :-)
This XC SECRETS course offers you the following (and more!):
- Thermalling theory and basics
- Advanced thermalling technique
- Flight route planning
- Cross country basic tactics
- Correct evaluation of weather information (temp, emagram, etc)
- The possibility to develop your thermal flight techniques by: Finding the best thermals, learning to master thermals, experiencing the escape techniques (B-stall, spiral and big ears), behaviour in turbulent air
- Personal flight technique analysis
- Individual track log analysis
- A relaxed atmosphere
- Retrieval service
- The opportunity to have experiences which you can take into your day to day life.
On the last day of the course (Wednesday 18th August) there will be optional reserve parachute training (including the opportunity to throw your reserve) over fresh water.
About Kari Eisenhut
As well as being the chief test pilot for top paraglider manufacturer Advance, Kari has excelled in paragliding competitions over the years, winning both the Paragliding World Cup and Paragliding Grand Prix series, as well as becoming European Paragliding Champion.

There should also be a fantastic opportunity during this trip for an exclusive visit to the Advance headquarters in Thun, giving an illuminating insight into the latest innovations in paraglider design. Paragliding trip to Swiss Alps with Kari Eisenhut 12-18 August

This will be a very special thermalling and XC-flying course, flying in the Berner Oberland of the Swiss Alps. We will be based will be in Interlaken, Switzerland.
The course will be run by world-class competition pilot and instructor, Kari Eisenhut (for anyone who knows him, Kari is one of the very best paraglider pilots in the world - at the same kind of level as X-Alps 2009 winner and Advance test / competition pilot, Christian 'Chrigel' Maurer). Kari is the Chief Test Pilot for top paraglider manufacturer Advance, and there should also be a fantastic opportunity during this trip for an exclusive visit to the Advance headquarters in Thun.
I (Carlo Borsattino) will be working with Kari for this very special one-off thermalling and XC-flying course, and giving the pilots who come on the course with us (i.e. Flybubble Paragliding) additional personal/tailored instruction/coaching to help YOU get the maximum benefit out of it.
