Horses

Lord Gage expressed deep concern regarding pilots flying low over a group of horses at Bo Peep/Firle on appx. 9/11/09.
Please be aware that low flying near to horses puts our access to most of our sites in jeopardy.
Please be especially considerate to horse riders when paragliding, or for that matter, driving anywhere near our sites.

Horses
It transpires that this was a more subtle point about horses/paragliders. Accepting that we both have to share the Downs and that most fliers are aware that we should not pull up wings or fly low near/over horses, it may not be quite so obvious that horses climbing up the various steep tracks on the side of the downs (such as that between the Plantation at Firle and Firle Beacon) will probably be spooked by seeing paragliders flying above them along the ridge at that point, because they are in effect looking up. So the message is, as well as looking out for horses going along the top of the ridge, look out for them coming up the sides. and keep well clear.
