As on Wednesday, it was a bit off to the NE first thing, but it came on quicker today. Some pilots got as far as the car park, but decided to head for Bo-Peep. As a few of us prepared on the S launch, someone showed that it was possible to take off from the N one. Scottish Gary soared for a while, luring a couple of us into the air - we bombed! But between about 11 and 12 it was nicely thermic, and there was still lift after that for the usual suspects to work. A couple of bushes were visited. No doubt we'll hear whether Tuesday and Wednesday's wave recurs.

Thank You for the Tea!

I am beginning to learn the "Zen" of Paragliding.

The value of a cup of tea in the car park, a chat, a look at a demo wing, then watching somebody else bomb gently are not to be underestimated.

Having hung around for an hour and a bit with you and Gary I was pleased to bow out without making an appearance (and a bottom landing).

It was a pleasant morning, and I think to get a flight on the way to work and on the way back would have been greedy.

Thank You for the Tea!

Did it wave again on Thursday evening, or was it too strong and/or south-easterly?

No, it wasn't to be. Never mind, only another 5 years before we get those conditions again....

Cuppa much appreciated

Cheers for the T Andy, it was good to see and talk to someone else prior to my first flight on High and Over... and it was a fun bit of ridge soaring too.
It was made pretty special by the fact I had a massive audience with about 200 kids turning up on a field trip. Pressure was on not to bomb into the nearest bush :-)

Thanks for all your advice and briefing on the site, it was appreciated.

Cheers,
"Scottish Gary"
