BCC Round - South East Wales
There is a new round proposed for this coming
weekend - 17^th and 18^th May in South East Wales. So let's get a team
together and see if we can get the Southern Slackers (not yet our
official name) up on the score board.
For those that don't know the BCC - British Club Challenge is a very
friendly competition that is open to everyone from Club Pilot up. All
scoring is for the team (rather than the individual) with handicapping
so the same flight will earn more for someone who is Club Pilot rated
than for someone who is Pilot or Advanced Pilot rated. It is a much less
pressured atmosphere than competitions like the BP Cup but the
combination of good sites, good colleagues and task setting can see many
people fly personal bests (myself included).
Please email if you are interested. It would be good to have a range of
availabilities in the team and hopefully we can persuaded the sky gods
amongst us to coach or offer some tips.
We will probably meet up at Crickhowell and I plan to drive down from
Brighton early on Saturday. I am currently supposed to be back in
Brighton for Sunday evening but am trying to shift that appointment but
in any case plan to return by Sunday night (ready for work on Monday
morning). I will be going from central Brighton and have room for two or
three in more in the car if anyone wants to lift share.
No previous competition experience required the task is open to anyone with CP +15 hours.
Please email me at shgc[at]mrluk[dot]com if you would like to join in.
Mark
