Laziness hurts

A couple of week's ago I almost broke my leg at Newhaven. I was flying back to launch after the wind dropped, trying to cover as much ground as possible to make the walk out shorter. I passed by the ideal pebble cove in which to land, opting instead for one just a bit further on - which I didn't quite make. Although I managed to put my crispy new glider down perfectly on the conveniently glider-shaped cove, I neglected to put as much thought into the older undercarriage and 'clipped' a rock. Clipping a rock with your shin bone is not to be underestimated! The walk out was very painful - albeit a few metres shorter...Doh!

Most of the swelling and bruising has gone now, and it no longer hurts to walk, but I was lucky not to fracture it. Lesson learned.
