PG Winch conversion course

Air Adventure Paragliding in conjunction with Apex Paragliding will be running a two day hill to winch conversion course on Sat 26th and Sun 27th April. The course will consist of theory and practical sessions with a minimum of ten tows over the two days.

You need to be Club Pilot with a minimum 10 hrs flying experience and have a canopy suitable for towing (if in doubt call me). You should also have a reserve, preferably packed in your harness and not in a separate container.

The cost of the course will be £250 and tow releases will be available to buy on the day.

If you are interested in the above course please let me know ASAP as we have only three places remaining and plan to take a maximum of six. We will however be running further courses throughout the year, dates to be announced shortly.

Also, if there are any SHGC flyers interested in obtaining a winch operator’s licence we shall be running courses. The idea is to get club members qualified to set up their own tow group. You need to be pilot rated, hold a winch endorsement and ideally be a club coach or willing to become a club coach.

A couple of places are left on the course, weather's looking about 50/50 at the moment, obviously we will re-schedule asap if it's off.
