As some of you may be aware i have been asked to stand as Chairman by several members, I have given the idea a great deal of consideration and have decided to go ahead and stand for the position. I would like to take this opportunity to put forward my proposals should I be successful.
Firstly I will introduce myself to those of you who do not know me: I have been flying for about 11 years and am pilot rated and a club coach. In the past I have held the posts of Social Secretary and Membership Secretary and editor of the club magazine (Windsock) within the SHGC. I am a local businessman with motorcycle training school (1066 Motorcycle Training) and a busy seaside Cafe.
I would like to take on the role of Chairman as I am passionate for the club and would like to see members becoming more involved with increased benefits from their membership.
These are a few items i would like to propose
Maintain the use of all existing sites and continued promotion of good relationships with land owners.
To address the issue of non-members flying on club sites.
To promote the social aspect of the club with events and training sessions.
