The tow season has started , so anyone who wants to do tow training or is already rated call my mobile, 07850 811704. Also to remind members that the subscription is due is now £45.00. If you wish to join the group we have some space available.

Also the new dual HG has arrived and we hope to offer dual aerotow training, as well as dual flights for SHGC members soon, if any member of SHGC would like a flight in the dual HG please e-mail me .

There still seems to be something wrong with the email notification of a
round being proposed but a chance check of the website showed that a round
has been proposed for the four-day Easter weekend and so I have signed up
the Southern Club to participate.

The round details are
21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th March
Proposed by South East Wales Club
Based in Crickhowell

The usual rules (www.flybcc.co.uk) state team sizes of six but we can
certainly do with some reserves and what we discovered last year at
Crickhowell is that we can turn up with more and pick a team on a day. In

Glynde Meeting - Pilot Exam PLUS Cross-Country Talk
Start: 19:30

Following on from the series of Pilot Lectures, as well as the Pilot Exam
sitting this month's meeting will look at the practical aspects of flying
cross country from the South Downs including : Preparation, Airspace,
reading an Air Map, in-flight Navigation, using your GPS, downloading
tracklogs and the XC League.
We will also have a Q&A session on GPS's so bring yours along with you (as
well as your airspace map).
This will be followed next month by a talk by Mark Watts on how to do it !

Airwave Demo Day

Airworks will be hosting an Airwave demo day on April 12th. We hope to
have examples of all gliders in the range, including the new Sport 4 and
the new Alpine mountain glider.

Please let me know if you are interested in the demo day so that I can get an idea of numbers.
